What is a Trade Agreement?

A Trade Agreement (TA) is a economic relation between two players to improve their development mutually. It increases Growth, Production, Research, and Culture. The so-called Trade Profit (TP) (in percent) is added to the Race and eventually Artefact modifiers.

How do Trade Agreements work?

The Trade Profit is the sum of the Own Trade Profits (OTP) of the two respective trading-partners. The OTP consists of the sum of all your Market-Buildings, divided by 10, to the power of 0.9 and modified by your Trading Race. You can see your OTP in the two Market Screens : Inventory and Trade Agreements.

How do I establish a Trade Agreement?

The first trading partner hast to offer the TA by entering the ID of the player he wants to offer the TA in the respective field and press 'Send TA'. The first TA costs 10'000 €, every succeeding TA costs 10'000 € more. you can have a maximum of 5 active or offered TAs.
The player you offered the TA will get a news-message, which tells him about the offer. This player now has to go to the Trade Agreements screen to accept the offer. After clicking on 'accept' the Trade Agreement is established. To accept a TA the player also needs to pay for it. The amount of EC is according to his/her already existing TAs.

How do I cancel a Trade Agreement?

You can cancel a TA-offer anytime by clicking on 'cancel' in the TA-screen for the according TA-offer. The ECs you have paid for this offer will be transferred back onto your account.
You can also cancel an active TA, but in contrary to the TA-offer, there is no pay-back of the money you spent!

Note:

If a player with active TAs has to resign or is resigned, the TAs are converted to TA-offers, offered by the 'surviving' trading partners. So this trading partners can decide to either cancel this TA-offer and get always 10'000 back. Or they can let the offer and if the resigned player does restart, he can accept the offers again − after he has gained enough money.
